Wuerffe Award  

WVU football seniors, quarterback Jarret Doege, safety Sean Mahone and kicker Evan Staley, were named to the Wuerffel Trophy Award Watch List as announced by the organization. This Award, Known as "College Football's Premier Award for Community Service," is presented each February in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

return to campus conversation  

The campus community is invited to join a Return to Campus Conversation today (Aug. 5) from 10-11:15 a.m. This live session for faculty, staff and students will include information about the return to campus and the fall 2021 semester, including testing, the move-in process, Welcome Week and other events, academics, behavior expectations, personal safety and more.

Dr. Cecilia Chung of Vanderbilt University's Medical Center will speak as part of the Medicine Grand Rounds on Friday (Aug. 6) at 8 a.m. This presentation titled "Prescribed Opioids and the Opioid Epidemic: Lessons from Pharmacoepidemiology" will take place over Zoom and in person at the Fukushima Auditorium, Room 1901.
