All faculty are invited to attend the WVU Health Sciences Center Faculty Development Program “Faculty Engagement Event” Wednesday, March 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center.

LEAD Scholars  

School of Public Health graduate students Kailie Clark and Trey Harvey have been selected as the 2021-22 L.E.A.D. scholars. This scholarship recognizes students who “will serve as champions for equitable, diverse and inclusive healthcare, redefining 21st century healthcare leadership and administration.”

Psychological First Aid is the globally recommended training for supporting people during emergencies and offers guidance on delivering psychosocial care in the immediate aftermath of the emergency event. The event will be online and open until Feb. 28.

Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences professor Dr. Larry Schwab has been named the recipient of the annual International Blindness Prevention Award for his dedication to providing care for underserved populations throughout his career.
