New students pursuing computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or information systems at WVU Tech can now do so with help from the prestigious National Science Foundation. Funded by a $650,000 NSF grant, the "Supporting Undergraduate Cohorts of Career-Ready Engineering and Science Scholars" program is designed to boost academic support for students in these four majors.

Dustin Spayde has been appointed director of the Engineering Innovation Hub housed in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University, effective May 16.
Through the “My Hometown is Cool!” competition, four teams from four West Virginia counties – Greenbrier, Marshall, McDowell and Nicholas – will have an opportunity to implement their innovative ideas to make their towns cooler. Attorney Michael J. Moore has been named the Young Lawyer of the Year by the Young Lawyer Section of the West Virginia State Bar.
