In celebration of the Bob Huggins Fish Fry’s 10-year anniversary, supporters contributed a record $2.65 million to benefit lifesaving cancer care and research at the WVU Cancer Institute. Since 2013, Huggins has invited fans, friends and cancer survivors to the Fish Fry to support causes he cares about while enjoying a seafood feast, good company, and live entertainment.
Foundations of Faith Community Nursing, a course offered by the WVU School of Nursing, teaches students how to improve health in faith communities, as well as to provide quality care to members of different faith backgrounds in the clinical care setting.
The American Pharmacists Association announced the selection of recipients of the APhA Academy of Student Pharmacist Awards as part of the 2022 APhA Awards and Honors Program, the comprehensive recognition program in the profession of pharmacy.
Brian Hendricks, assistant professor in the School of Public Health Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, has been elected to serve a four-year term on the National Institutes of Health Population Sciences Pathobiology Governance Committee. The 21-member committee includes prominent universities across the country.
