The College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences will honor four graduates and name the Legacy Award recipient during its 2021 Hall of Fame Ceremony, Oct. 15, via a virtual ceremony on Zoom. The Hall of Fame inductees are Herbert K. Amato, Dana D. Brooks, Joseph A. Martin and Catherine “Cathy” E. Parson. The College will honor Daniel F. Mahony with the Legacy Award.

As part of this year’s First Amendment Day, which occurs annually on Sept. 25, College of Media students in Martin Hall Agency gathered information about WVU students’ knowledge of the amendment and how they felt about their rights on campus. This research will help inform a year-long series of events around the First Amendment.

School of Public Health students volunteered at Save a Life Day that was held Sept. 25 at 12 locations in Monongalia County. During this event, the Monongalia County Quick Response Team members and volunteers gave away free naloxone, which reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, and administered Narcan training.
