Nearly 30 School of Nursing students recently learned how to administer naloxone, the potentially lifesaving opioid overdose medication.
This week’s Department of Medicine grand rounds will feature a presentation from Dr. Nour Daboul on updates for colon cancer Friday (March 11) at 8 a.m. on Zoom.
Students at WVU are finding motivation and inspiration for their future careers as nurses, despite the physical and emotional exhaustion the COVID-19 pandemic has caused in the nursing professionals they train with every day. In fact, the pandemic has strengthened their resolve to keep nurses in the pipelines to provide hands-on health care.
The WVU School of Nursing formally welcomed the sophomore classes of August 2023 and December 2024 into the study of nursing during the Spring 2022 Nursing Pledge Ceremony, held March 3 in the Okey Patteson Auditorium.
Participants will expand their knowledge of mindful practices as they delve deeper with practices related to interoception, compassion, inner yoga, adaptability, gratitude and resilience in Mindful Steps Part 2, beginning March 28.
