During the first day of the State Fair of West Virginia, three WVU School of Nursing students shared educational information, giveaways and hands-on sensory experiences including food color painting, a blind guessing game and slime-making.

The WVU Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders is offering free audiology screenings to all WVU faculty and staff and WVU Medicine employees. The screenings will take place at the WVU Student Health Building, located at 375 Birch Street, from 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 26, Sept. 2 and Sept. 9.
Through two WVU School of Nursing continuing professional development courses, nurses and other health care providers in the state can better understand the needs of patients with substance use disorder and how to best treat them.
Jennifer Mallow, a professor in the Adult Health Department of the WVU School of Nursing, has been selected to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Fellows are selected based on their contributions and impact to advance the public’s health.
