WVU will host a workshop from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Erickson Alumni Center to present funding opportunities available through the Department of Defense Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research and other related Department of Defense research programs.

This Teaching and Learning Commons and WVU Libraries workshop will explore databases for locating articles on topics such as active learning, critical thinking and assessment from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, on Zoom.

Ugur Kale, associate professor at the WVU College of Applied Human Sciences, has earned a $295,000 National Science Foundation grant to prepare elementary education majors to use computer science as a tool in classrooms for K-5 students.
