West Virginia University Director of Jazz Jared Sims has a new album “Against All Odds” out on Origin Records. This is Sims tenth solo recording.

Parents pursuing graduate degrees from the WVU School of Medicine will benefit from a $1.6 million estate gift from a late WVU-trained family physician. The recently completed trust gift from Dr. C. Carl Tully Sr., of South Charleston, bolsters a namesake scholarship fund established by Tully and his wife, Margaret, prior to their passing. The scholarship supports WVU School of Medicine graduate students with children.

All full-time faculty (tenure or non-tenure track) on the Morgantown campus are eligible to apply for The Art Museum of WVU Fellowship program, an opportunity for faculty and instructors from across disciplines to enhance their teaching and scholarship by engaging with the Art Museum’s permanent collection of more than 4,000 objects. During the summer, the fellow will receive $3,600 in summer research funding as they research objects for potential inclusion in the exhibition.

WVU School of Public Health Director of Accreditation, Planning, and Evaluation Heather Henderson has been appointed to lead the ASPPH Data Section, the professional development network for senior staff. As chair of the Section, Henderson will work with its members to support and innovate institutional research and effectiveness across ASPPH member institutions.

Nine members of the West Virginia University gymnastics team were named to the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Gymnastics First Team, the league announced on Thursday.
