As the School of Nursing continues to grow, Dean Tara Hulsey is announcing associate dean appointments that will take effect Jan. 1.

John Barnett, who has served as professor and chair of the School of Medicine Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology since 1992, will retire in May.
In a recent skills lab, sophomores in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program learned about musculoskeletal system assessment, including how to safely position, transfer and ambulate patients with fractures, using assistive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairs.
The School of Public Health marks its 10-year anniversary starting with a kickoff event Tuesday (Oct. 25) that includes President Gordon Gee, Dr. Clay Marsh and Dr. Jeff Coben. Additional events, offered in person and virtually, will be held throughout the week.
