Originally from Kanawha County, Crystal Good took many twists and turns in life. Over the years, Good has been an entrepreneur, a marketer, a model, a recognized poet, a performing artist, a filmmaker, an author, a WVU alumna, a mom and an advocate, but she admits everything has led her to where she is now. Today, she is the publisher of Black by God The West Virginian.

Jeremy Dawson, associate professor of the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, is the recipient of a four-year subcontract consisting of one base period and two option periods valued at $750,000 to collect biometric data that will be used to develop software algorithm-based systems capable of performing whole-body biometric identification at distances as far as 300 meters or more.
Twenty members of the WVU rowing team have been named to the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Rowing First Team, as announced by the conference today. Of those, six Mountaineers earned distinction with a 4.0 grade-point average: Kaira Lay, Katherine McMullen, Lydia Nicolai, Megan Present, Emma Toy and Ryleigh Williams.
To accommodate enhancements, repairs and testing for West Virginia University’s steam infrastructure, the Facilities Management team is working with WVU’s steam provider on three planned steam outages.
