Bringing together several generations of University supporters, the WVU Alumni Association will celebrate a summer tradition during the 37th annual Boone County Alumni and Friends Pig Roast and Mountaineer Music Frolic on Saturday (July 13). Over the years, the chapter has raised more than $1 million and provided upwards of 500 student scholarships largely with proceeds from the event.
The meeting will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday (July 17) in the Rhododendron Room of the Mountainlair and on Zoom.
The State Fair of West Virginia will allow the University to showcase its land-grant mission by reaching tens of thousands of people, including alumni, future students, families, young people and others, from Aug. 8-17 in Fairlea.
The School of Medicine Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders will provide free hearing screenings to members of the public from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday (July 12) at the WVU Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic.
Tucker Cooley, entomologist and moth expert, will present “Winged Wonders of the Night: The Moth Fauna of West Virginia” at 6 p.m. today (July 9) at the WVU Core Arboretum Amphitheater.
