Today (Aug. 1) is National Poll Worker Recruitment Day, an opportunity for members of the University community to get involved in the democratic process by becoming poll workers. Being a poll worker is a crucial role that helps ensure fair and efficient elections.

The hour-long training sessions are designed to help faculty and staff better understand the process of recovery, confront stigma related to addiction and use appropriate language when discussing substance use and eating disorders, and other mental health and behavioral concerns.
WELLWVU invites University departments and organizations to sponsor a Hydration Station from 8 to 11 p.m. on Friday evenings in August or September. The event offers faculty and staff a fun opportunity to interact with students while encouraging safety and well-being, and promoting your department or organization.
Students and student organizations are invited to participate in the 2024 Monongalia County Fair Parade beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, on High Street in Morgantown.
Faculty and staff volunteers are needed to help ensure a smooth move-in process for all residents and their families from Aug. 15-17. Cardboard recycling help is also needed.
WVU departments and units that plan to hire student workers or Federal Work-Study students for fall positions are invited to participate in the Back-to-School Job Fairs hosted by WVU Career Services as part of Welcome Week.
