Core Arboretum  

The WVU community is invited to attend a Nature Connection Series talk at the Core Arboretum’s woodland amphitheater at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 30). This week's speaker is David Scofield, director of Meadowcroft Rockshelter, and his talk is titled “Living Off the Land: 19,000 years at the Meadowcroft Rockshelter.”

The Provost's Office will hold its Fall 2022 Board of Governors Program Review workshop from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 15 at the College of Law's Fitzsimmons Event Hall. Lunch will be provided.

West Virginia University has been named to the 2022 list of “America’s Best Employers by State” by Forbes magazine. WVU is the only institution of higher learning to make the list of West Virginia’s best employers and this year marks the fourth consecutive time the University has been recognized by Forbes since 2019.

The Art Museum of West Virginia University is pleased to announce generous support from Art Bridges to develop and tour a major exhibition of the work of Blanche Lazzell, one of the most progressive American artists of the first half of the 20th century.

Global Health Week  

Global Health Week will feature speakers from across the United States Sept. 19-23. This year’s topics include the COVID-19 pandemic response and vaccine equity, land mine eradication, global critical care and international aid.
