Career and Internship Fair  

Career Services will host more than 200 employers at the STEM Career and Internship Fair Wednesday (Feb. 1) and the Agriculture and Natural Sciences Career and Internship Fair Thursday (Feb. 2). These nationwide employers from diverse industries, including WVU alumni, are recruiting students for internships and full-time job opportunities.

Chris Gilmer  

Chris Gilmer, a first-generation college graduate who is a leader in higher education, published author and advocate for underserved students, will transition from interim to permanent campus president of West Virginia University Potomac State College.

State Capitol Dome  

This edition includes highlights from the first three weeks of session, including campus carry, tax reform and a rundown of bills introduced and passed by the 86th Legislature of West Virginia.

Graduation commencement  

West Virginia University students will benefit from a $1 million gift courtesy of the Maier Foundation, a West Virginia-based nonprofit organization focused on furthering higher education in the Mountain State, that is aimed at reducing the number of students who leave campus before graduation.

To aid WVU Career Services in hosting prospective employers for upcoming career fairs, some short-term parking lots on the Evansdale area of campus will be closed Wednesday (Feb. 1) and Thursday (Feb. 2).
