WVU Libraries will launch an Art in the Libraries’ exhibit on library transformation with speaker Emily Drabinski, an associate professor at the Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, from 4-6 p.m. on Sept. 12 in the Downtown Library. “Hacking the Library” was designed around the hacker ethos in the positive sense regarding the ability to deconstruct and reconstruct information systems. Hacking starts with reconceptualizing libraries beyond the book.

The Office of the Provost is accepting nominations of candidates for honorary doctoral degrees at WVU that will be awarded at Commencement exercises in May 2023. Faculty, staff, students and alumni are encouraged to nominate exceptional people who have made outstanding contributions to their field and society.
