Miscanthus Roots  

Jennifer Kane, a postdoctoral student, was recently awarded a $219,000 grant from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to study how microbes — like bacteria and fungi — interact with Miscanthus roots to boost the plant’s productivity and sustainability.

Born out of COVID-19, but reframed to gather the stories of health care well beyond the pandemic, the opening of the “Healthcare is Human” exhibit will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 25) in the Okey Patteson Auditorium and the Health Sciences Center Pylons Commons.
