Katie Schneller  

Katie Schneller will step down from her role as director later this month to be able to spend more time with family. Her last day at the University is Nov. 16. In the meantime, the Research Office is working diligently to identify an interim leader as the search for a permanent director is completed.

The Office of Student and Faculty Innovation will host Melinda Coffman, Tammi Neville and Nurun Nahar from the U.S. Department of Agriculture as they provide an overview of recent initiatives and the funding processes for the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, on Zoom.

Mens Soccer  

The No. 5 men's soccer team secured its spot in the Sun Belt Conference final with a 2-0 victory over South Carolina in the semifinals Wednesday (Nov. 8) at UCF Soccer Complex in Orlando, Florida. WVU will face No. 1 Marshall in the championship match at 1 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 12) at Hoops Family Field in Huntington.

Jett Strickenberger Wrestler  

Junior Jett Strickenberger led the way by winning the 125-pound open title in his WVU debut at the 2023 Southeast Open on Saturday. Ranked No. 24 by FloWrestling, he pulled off a 4-1 sudden victory over No. 14 Brandon Kaylor of Oregon State in the finals.

Staff from First Ascent, Mountaineer Meet Ups and Collegiate Recovery will provide updates on their respective programs from noon to 1 p.m. today (Nov. 8) in the Mountainlair, Shenandoah Room.
