Sustainable Development  

Encourage students to apply for the Sustainable Development internship program designed for undergraduate students who wish to cultivate community-based research and foster transformative social change in Appalachia. The application deadline is Sept. 27.

WVU Band Macys Announcement  

Representing West Virginia University and the entire Mountain State, “The Pride of West Virginia,” the Mountaineer Marching Band, will participate in the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, marking the second appearance for the band in the historic parade.

Media Students  

Reed College of Media students will share their case studies and insights gleaned from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, also known as the Academy Awards for Creative Industries, during this event hosted by the Public Relations Society of America from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, in the Media Innovation Center.

Richard Katskee  

The College of Law will host Richard Katskee, assistant clinical professor of law at Duke University, as he presents "Taking Liberties: The Supreme Court's New Hierarchy of Rights and its Victims” at noon Monday (Sept. 18) in the College of Law, Fitzsimmons Event Hall.
