Woodburn Winter Snow Campus  

On Wednesday (Dec. 20), Gov. Jim Justice issued a proclamation declaring a state holiday on Friday, Dec. 22. Since WVU already observes Dec. 22 as a holiday, the University has modified its holiday calendar and will observe this state holiday on Wednesday, Dec. 27. As a result, WVU will be closed on Dec. 27.

Recovery Ally training  

The hour-long training sessions are designed to help faculty and staff better understand the process of recovery, confront stigma related to addiction, and use appropriate language when discussing substance use and eating disorders, and other mental health and behavioral concerns.

Women LINK  

The inaugural Women Leading, Innovating, Networking, Knowing Conference will feature a robust lineup of speakers, presenters and panelists from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 20 at the Morgantown Marriott Waterfront Place. The event aims to create a support network across the state that empowers women to lead.

The Dec. 29 paycheck will be the third paycheck of the month and will be considered a “deduction holiday pay” for 12-month benefits-eligible employees. Benefit deductions will not be withheld; however, mandatory taxes and retirement deductions will be withheld.

Robotics  

Students in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources will now have a chance to pursue a degree in one of the top 10 fastest growing professions globally — robotics.

Graduation Commencement  

The College of Applied Human Sciences features several students who have navigated unique paths balancing work, family and personal pursuits that exemplify diverse and inspiring journeys.
