Join the WVU Center for Black Culture in honoring the life of Martin Luther King Jr. during a unity breakfast from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday (Jan. 15) in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. The community is also invited to “Greatness Determined by Service: An Afternoon of Reflection on Martin Luther King Jr.,” hosted by the WVU Center for Community Engagement and AmeriCorps VISTA, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Gluck Theater.
The Center for Community Engagement will host the event from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, in the Mountainlair Vandalia Lounge.
This program, available to Student Rec Center members, provides one-on-one, tailored lessons for children ages 3 to 12 who are new to swimming or those who want to improve or refine their skills.
Most campus offices will have limited or no services available Monday (Jan. 15) in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
Thanks to the continued support and generosity of our campus community, we have raised nearly $190,000 for the WVU United Way Campaign. If you haven’t had the chance to donate yet, there’s still time.
