The WVU Alert system, used to communicate with the University community during emergencies, inclement weather and other incidents, will be tested for the Morgantown Campus at 1 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 17).

Faculty, staff and students on all campuses will be unable to log in to many important services requiring WVU Login credentials from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday (Jan. 21) during quarterly security patching to the single sign-on system.

Full-time faculty members and faculty equivalent academic professionals are encouraged to explore the diverse range of grants available to support their teaching, research and scholarly endeavors in the humanities during the 2024-25 academic year.

Student rec center  

Whether a student has been dry all month or is just curious about the concept, they are invited to connect with others who are interested in examining their relationship with alcohol or other substances from 6-7 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 18) at the Student Rec Center. Participants will discuss motivations, challenges and strategies over a cup of coffee or tea.

For the first time, a graduate from the School of Nursing Beckley Campus will be recognized with the Nursing Alumni of the Year award and honored at the 2024 Homecoming celebration for WVU Tech. Stephanie McDougal is the inaugural winner.
