Milano Reading Room Library  

The WVU Humanities Center and the Religious Studies program will host “Affect, Teaching, and Academic Transformation” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 4 in the Downtown Library, Milano Reading Room. The workshop will be led by Donovan Schaefer, associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mountaineer Finalists 2024  

Four West Virginia natives vying to be the 70th West Virginia University Mountaineer mascot will wear buckskins and carry rifles as they compete in a cheer-off during the men’s basketball game versus the University of Central Florida at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 20) in the WVU Coliseum.

The hardest part of auto racing is getting to the starting line. With help from the Chambers College community, one student took the wheel to build a future in motorsports.

Balance  

The WVU Human Performance Lab is seeking participants ages 25-65 who meet certain criteria for this research study. Appointments will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday (Feb. 22) in the Student Health Building, Room 101.

Baseball Pitcher  

The baseball team begins the 2024 campaign with a four-game series at Stetson in DeLand, Florida. Junior Aidan Major will get the ball to begin the season Friday (Feb. 16) for the Mountaineers. He will be followed by two transfer pitchers with junior Tyler Switalski and senior Hayden Cooper taking the mound on Saturday (Feb. 17) and Sunday (Feb. 18).
