West Virginia University undergraduate researchers demonstrated the importance of research led by the state’s flagship, land-grant institution for lawmakers firsthand during Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol Thursday (Feb. 22).
Faculty members are encouraged to remind undergraduates the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on March 1. Students will receive a $5,000 stipend to help pursue research and/or creative work within their discipline.

First pitch is 4 p.m. today (Feb. 23), 1 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 24) and 1 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 25) at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium in Charlotte. Saturday will be a doubleheader featuring two seven-inning games. Fans can watch all four games on ESPN+.
Competition for the track and field team in the 2024 Big 12 Indoor Championship begins at 11 a.m. today (Feb. 23) and noon Saturday (Feb. 24) at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas. Texas Tech is the host.
