WVU Magazine: Feared and Revered  

Artificial intelligence and the rise of popular open-source platforms like ChatGPT are disrupting life now more than ever. Even before ChatGPT became a household name, WVU experts have kept a close eye on AI’s rising impact on the modern world.

Rifle  

Highlighted by a pair of individual national championships, the rifle team placed second Saturday (March 9) after two days of competition in the 2024 NCAA Division I Rifle National Championship held at the Coliseum. Junior Gavin Barnick claimed the individual title in the air rifle competition, while senior Mary Tucker won the individual title in the smallbore competition.

Wrestling  

At the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, true freshman Ty Watters claimed the 149-pound championship and six other Mountaineers landed on the podium to lead the wrestling team to one of its greatest overall performances at the Big 12 Championship.

Womens Basketball  

The women's basketball team was eliminated by Kansas State at the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, 65-62, Saturday (March 9) at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Next up, the Mountaineers await the NCAA Tournament selection show on Sunday (March 17).
