The WVU Institute for Sustainability and Energy Research has appointed Shikha Sharma as chief scientific officer, and six faculty members have been named to its newly formed steering committee. In this role, Sharma will aid the institute in advancing energy and energy-related sustainability research at the University.

On Saturday (April 6) at Kansas, senior Derek Clark with the baseball team tossed a complete-game shutout while striking out seven and allowing just three hits. He got stronger as the game went on, as he retired 13 of the last 14 batters to come to the plate.
