The Norma Mansberger Carmack Library Endowment at WVU received the gift from the Shawn T. Carmack Irrevocable Trust. The trust serves to not only honor Shawn’s mother, Norma, but also to aid the libraries at her alma mater that helped shape her future and the future of her family.

As he nears the end of his time as the 69th Mountaineer mascot, Mikel Hager was recognized in his hometown of Madison. The Madison Development Authority recently hosted a community event and reception for Hager at Scott High School.
Yu Gu, professor at the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, is the first professor to be named to the Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni Professorship. The position will elevate research and academic excellence.

The textbook “Middle Range Theory for Nursing” received first place in the category of nursing research by the American Journal of Nursing, as part of its most valuable texts of the year for 2023. The textbook was edited and five chapters of the book were written by faculty from the School of Nursing.
