Adobe Sign required for electronic signature requests

As part of the University’s transition to Adobe Creative Cloud Pro Plus, faculty and staff who send documents for electronic signature must now use Adobe Sign, a secure platform that collects legally binding electronic signatures while ensuring documents and workflows remain accessible and administratively managed by WVU.

The electronic signature functionality previously available through Acrobat’s “Send for Signature” feature is no longer available and has been replaced by Adobe Sign.

A $2 fee applies per document, though you can add as many signatures as needed.

For users, this new option offers a faster and more convenient way to collect signatures by automating routing and approving workflows, which provides visibility into document status and reduces the need for manual follow-up.

If you currently collect multiple signatures on documents as part of your business processes, then please submit a Software Licensing Information Center request to be assigned an Adobe Sign account.
