To provide support to Lewis and Upshur counties after catastrophic flooding, several Health Sciences Center graduate student organizations are partnering to collect relief donations through Aug. 28.
Donations can be dropped off in the Erma Byrd Biomedical Research Center, ground- and second-floor lobbies.
Needed items include the following:
Bottled water
Brooms and mops
Trash and contractor bags
Bleach and other cleaning supplies
Disinfecting wipes
Gloves
Sponges and squeegees
5-gallon buckets
Laundry detergent
Nonperishable items
Plastic utensils and paper plates
Toiletries and hygiene supplies
Diapers
Extension cords
Members of the Graduate Student Organization, Neuroscience Graduate Student Organization, American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and Women Advocating Science will deliver the donated items each weekend throughout the drive.
