WVU is officially launching the search for the next chief information officer.

Chief Financial Officer Chris Kabourek will chair the search process alongside a committee consisting of faculty, staff, students, administrators and Health Sciences Center representatives.

“WVU seeks strong IT leadership who can bring future-focused evolution to the role,” Kabourek said. “With several major University-wide initiatives underway, the CIO must help position the University to where technology is headed, particularly given Workday, cybersecurity, AI, enrollment systems, research support, Health Sciences and the broader need to improve services to campus.”

WVU  is working with Isaacson, Miller, a full-service search firm, to help recruit, vet and fill this position.

Input from the WVU community is critical to a successful search. All are welcome to participate and share perspectives on the ideal qualifications and expectations for this role during an open forum listening session from 10-11 a.m. June 3 via Zoom.

Register in advance to attend.

Additional information about the CIO position, search process and search committee members will be available on its.wvu.edu in the coming days.
