Deduction holiday pay set for May 29 paycheck

The May 29 paycheck will be the third paycheck in May for WVU employees and will be considered a deduction holiday pay for 12-month, benefits-eligible employees.

Benefit deductions will not be withheld; however, the following mandatory taxes and retirement deductions will be withheld:

• Federal taxes.

• State taxes.

• Social Security.

• Medicare.

• Retirement.

• Supplemental retirements.

• Withholding orders.

For benefits-eligible employees who are working fewer than 12 months (e.g., faculty members with nine-month contracts), the deduction holiday pay occurs on their first and last pay during their contract period.
