The EcoCAR team will showcase student innovation in electric vehicle technology from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday (March 31) in the Engineering Sciences Building, Room G20.
The event will feature the team’s Cadillac LYRIQ and demonstrate how students are advancing transportation through the EcoCAR EV Challenge.
Students will also demonstrate an emergency vehicle detection system designed to improve accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing drivers by providing haptic alerts when emergency vehicles are approaching. The system was developed through the team’s Mobility Challenge.
The international competition is managed by Argonne National Laboratory and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and General Motors.
