Service dogs Oliver, Cooper and Maggie will join their partnered veterans for a graduation ceremony hosted by the Hearts of Gold program Saturday (March 28) at the Natural Resources Center in Preston County.
The event will celebrate the three dog and veteran teams who have completed the training program. It also recognizes the hard work put in by the dogs, their foster parents and the donors that allow Hearts of Gold to remain successful year after year.
A partnership between the Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Human Animal Bond, Hearts of Gold places service dogs with veterans with mobility and/or psychiatric disabilities.
