Microsoft will implement a user interface change to the Azure Virtual Desktop web client Monday (March 23).

AVD allows authorized users to access virtual applications and Windows desktops hosted in Microsoft’s cloud instead of running it locally on their own computer. This enables remote delivery of applications and updates, providing improved security for remote work.

After the change, users will notice an enhanced interface that’s more modern and visually appealing. On first access to the new version, you can expect a guided tour Wizard designed to highlight key features through an interactive tutorial.

The new version is already available ahead of the March 23 switchover. To access it now, visit virtualapps.wvu.edu and select the Open Windows App button at the top of the landing page.
