The West Virginia Water Research Institute and Ascend WV will host the annual Monongahela River Sweep from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 18 at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park.
Volunteers will pick up trash from the trails, banks and on the water of the Monongahela River in downtown Morgantown.
Participants may receive hours on iServe and volunteer for a portion or the entire event time. Volunteer hours can also be confirmed through any additional hour tracker.
The number of kayaks available is limited so if you can provide your own boat and PFD please do; however, it is not necessary to get in the water to participate.
