Six dynamic speakers will present talks surrounding “The Art of Resilience” theme at 2 p.m. March 29 in the Mountainlair Gluck Theater.
The event will feature talks by the following:
Lama Alshamroukh, a pre-med biology major at WVU, will present “Fail First: A Two-Step Guide to Becoming a Resilient Researcher.”
Dr. Lauren Bojarski, assistant professor and associate program director at the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, will present “Am I Good Enough to Have Imposter Syndrome? How Vulnerability is an Asset.”
Zim Warda Hasan, a doctoral student in clinical and translational at WVU, will present “Let Your Ambition Fly: From Concept to Confirmation.”
Max Hill, an economics and finance major at Marshall University, will present “Huntington: The City of Resilience.”
Erin Sponaugle, a WVU alum and teacher at Tomahawk Intermediate School in Hedgesville, will present “The Creative Comeback: When Teacher Resilience Is No Longer Endurance.”
Whitney Stout, the director of strategic operations at WVU Online, will present “DANCE-ing Through Change: The Five-Step System for Managing Uncertainty and Reducing Stress During Change Initiatives.”
“I am honored to join the other speakers in educating the audience on how to optimize their 'art of resilience,’ and I hope attendees walk away feeling inspired to be their best self, even in times of doubt,” Bojarski said. “I am also looking forward to speaking on such an important topic and something that has changed my life for the better in so many ways — managing imposter syndrome.”
