As we cross the midpoint of the semester, faculty and staff are reminded to check in with each other during what can be a stressful season.
If you are experiencing burnout, addiction, mental health symptoms or have other concerns or struggles, resources are available through the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.
The free, confidential service provides a safe place for employees and their dependents to sort through problems and determine the best available resources to help.
FSAP offers a wide variety of offerings, such as mental wellness check-ins, skills coaching and connections to free recovery and mental health resources.
Each faculty member, staff member and their dependents can receive three free appointments to discuss their situations and pinpoint the best resources to move forward. If more extensive care is required, FSAP can refer you to an outside provider that accepts your health insurance and can help with your area of need.
If you or someone you know is in a crisis, help is immediately available by texting 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or reaching out to Valley HealthCare’s 24-hour crisis line .
One in five adults encounter mental health challenges. If you are struggling, you are not alone.
