“Auld Lang Syne” is a Scots phrase which translates to “old long since,” what we think of in modern times as “for old times’ sake,” speaking to the kinds of history and traditions that tie us all together within the West Virginia University family.
As we close the year, let’s take stock of the experiences we’ve had and the memories we’ve made as we’ve led with pride, empowered through education, transformed lives, staked our claim, grown our reach, and outperformed our competition.
We take these guiding principles with us into 2026 — a new year with so many possibilities.
May the new year be one of peace and joy for you, your family, and friends.
Let’s Go!
