When you think of employee benefits, insurance may come to mind first, but your benefits extend far beyond those traditional offerings.

From shopping and travel savings to tuition benefits, faculty and staff have access to a wide variety of programs, services and discounts.

Take a look a some other benefits included in your total rewards package:

     • Perks Program: At no cost to you, a Perks membership gives you access to a variety of vendors and their deals and services including restaurants, retailers, travel, fitness and more. With the holidays approaching, it’s a great time to take advantage of all that Perks offers.

     • Dependent Education Scholarship: WVU offers a scholarship for all full-time undergraduate dependents of benefits-eligible employees. This scholarship may be received for four academic years (eight semesters total) per dependent. The 2026-27 application will open in the coming months, so keep an eye out for campus announcements about the application and deadline.

     • Student Loan Forgiveness Program: Through TIAA and Savi, WVU employees can apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Through PSLF, you may be eligible to lower your monthly student loan payments and work toward loan forgiveness.

     • WVU Child Learning Center: WVU employees can enroll their children at the WVU Child Learning Center at a discounted rate (approximately 14% less than the normal rate). Managed by Bright Horizons, the WVU Child Learning Center is licensed to provide quality care to over 200 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
