First Day Complete launches for spring semester Nov. 28

WVU bookstore

The WVU Bookstore First Day Complete program will launch on Nov. 28 for the Spring 2026 semester.

The program supplies all undergraduate students with their required course materials at a low, flat-rate price.

This program provides a lower-cost, lower-stress approach to obtaining required textbooks and other course materials, including lab manuals, access codes and digital textbooks, provided on a rental basis.

WVU students who participated in First Day Complete during the 2024-25 academic year saved an average of 22% on course materials.

In order to provide students with an accurate picture of anticipated textbook costs for Spring 2026 — if they choose to opt out of the First Day Complete program and purchase their course materials on an individual basis — faculty and instructors are reminded to identify their course materials as soon as possible if they had not already submitted them by the Oct. 15 deadline.

Course material adoptions must be submitted for each course in every instance, including:

• Re-adoption of the same textbooks/materials already used for a course.

• Changes to textbooks/materials.

• Not requiring textbooks/materials.

To submit and confirm Spring 2026 textbook information, faculty/instructors should visit the Adoption Insight Portal as soon as possible, accessible through the WVU Portal.
