Delete Duo Mobile app unless you’re using it to authenticate non-WVU services

The Duo Mobile app has been retired with the University’s successful transition to the Okta identity management system and the Okta Verify multi-factor authentication app. 

No University services require its use. Unless you are using Duo Mobile for MFA into third-party services, you can delete the app from your phone. 

ITS strongly recommends that all employees and students enroll a secondary device such as a tablet or add a backup hardware token to your Okta account so you are prepared if you lose or replace your phone. 

If you don’t have a backup device associated with your account and you lose or replace your phone, you will need to call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444 for assistance enrolling a backup device to have your access restored.
