A panel discussion focused on self-care and healing after experiences of sexual assault, dating violence or domestic violence will be held in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month from 6-7 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Mountainlair, Gluck Theatre.

The “ROOT: Restore, Offer Grace, Open to Healing, Trust Your Journey” panelists will share trauma-informed insights, practical strategies for wellness and reminders that self-care is a powerful act of resilience and self-empowerment.

The event creates a supportive space for survivors and allies to explore what it means to care for themselves, reclaim peace and trust their individual healing process.

A candlelight vigil will follow the panel at 7 p.m in front of Woodburn Hall.
