Lana Yoho, an experienced leader in sponsored programs and research administration initiatives in higher education, will serve as the next director of the Office of Sponsored Programs. She will begin her new role on Nov. 10.
Yoho, who currently serves as the director of pre- and post-award at WVU Health Sciences, brings more than 20 years of direct experience.
As OSP director, she will have broad oversight of sponsored program administration of the University.
“Yoho brings a depth of expertise and continuity that is both rare and invaluable,” said Ming Lei, interim vice president for WVU Research. “Her longstanding service has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the University’s sponsored research infrastructure, compliance landscape and faculty support systems.
“She has led efforts to modernize workflows, improve turnaround times and ensure regulatory alignment — all while maintaining a strong commitment to service and collaboration. Her leadership will be instrumental in aligning central research administration with the evolving needs of the University’s research communities,” Lei added.
