Encourage students to honor the faculty and staff who have made a difference in their college education by designing the official 2026 WVU Impact Award medallion, which recognizes employees who go above and beyond for our University.

Submissions are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 15, and the winner will be announced in early November.

The winning design will be featured on custom wooden medallions, which are produced by Bear Wood Company, and presented to WVU Impact Award recipients across the WVU System.

Submissions for the medallion should artistically reflect the phrase “Let's Go!” and represent who we are as WVU.

Entries will be judged based on creativity and originality, interpretation of the theme, technical execution and quality, and conceptual depth and overall impact.

Entrants must be currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time WVU, WVU Tech or Potomac State College student. Each student may submit only one design, and it must be original artwork.

The student will be recognized alongside employees at the Talent and Culture’s end-of-year recognition event, and at a Mountaineer basketball game.

The Talent and Culture team, in conjunction with the University’s Recognition Council, is responsible for the management of the WVU Impact Award program.
