The Talent and Culture Leadership and Organizational Development team will offer University employees a variety of professional development courses focused on career and leadership throughout the fall semester.
Whether you are a rising leader or a senior leader, there is a course for you. These courses were designed to nurture leadership skills and teach you how to use your unique capabilities for good.
Highlighted instructor-led trainings include the following:
Leading Forward Series: Designed for new, current and aspiring leaders, this two-part series is a blended curriculum that addresses foundational leadership skills while also providing advanced strategies and development opportunities. Live sessions are offered monthly beginning Sept. 9. Register to attend.
Strengths-Based Leadership Pod: During this four-part series, you’ll work with small groups and Gallup-certified staff from the WVU Purpose Center and staff from the LOD team to learn about your top five CliftonStrengths and how to leverage them as a leader. In-person or virtual sessions will be offered in September, October and November.
Strengths-Based Career Development Pod: During this four-part in-person series, you’ll work with small groups and Gallup-certified staff from the WVU Purpose Center and staff from the LOD team to learn about your top 5 CliftonStrengths and how to leverage them to propel your career journey. Sessions will be offered in October.
Lead in 30: This is a four-week hybrid training program designed for senior leaders. The course provides people leaders with a framework for effective leadership that will enable them to create clarity, alignment and movement in the needed direction. In addition to in-person courses, the LOD team offers online trainings for learning on the go.
