To connect any mobile device to the WVU.Encrypted or eduroam wireless networks after 11:30 p.m. Thursday (July 31), you will need to accept a new security certificate. This DigiCert certificate is safe to install.
Generally, the prompt will appear as a pop-up. When you receive the prompt will depend on when you next connect to the on-campus Wi-Fi.
ITS is making this change from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 31 to ensure continuation of a secure wireless connection and to align the University’s annual certificate renewal with operational needs.
During this time, Wi-Fi service may be affected. This change affects all campuses, including the Health Sciences Center, Beckley and Keyser.
If you do not return to campus until August, you may not see the change until then. You may also need to update your WVU.Encrypted password with your current WVU Login password, which may have changed over the summer.
