The WVU Sustainable Landscapes Committee is seeking volunteers for two pollinator garden maintenance sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. on the Downtown area of campus tomorrow (June 25) or the Evansdale area of campus Thursday (June 26).
In celebration of Pollinator Week, volunteers will perform regular garden maintenance while learning why campus pollinator gardens are important and what plant species help them thrive.
Pollinator Week was created by the nonprofit Pollinator Partnership in 2011 to promote the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, butterflies and other pollinator species and to address declining pollinator populations.
