Support students affected by flooding

A hallway is shown at the Center for Excellence in Disabilities with words like meaningful and collaboration written in gold and blue graphics.

The Mentoring and Oversight for Developing Independence with Foster Youth program is seeking donations to assist students affected by the recent flooding in the Fairmont and Morgantown areas.

Donations can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities, 959 Hartman Run Road.

Visitors should enter through the third floor entrance near visitor parking.

The following items are recommended:

  • New clothing suitable for college-aged young adults.

  • Personal hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc.)

  • School supplies for college-aged young adults.

  • Non-perishable food items.

Financial donations can be made by noting “MODIFY Student Support.”

MODIFY students are former foster youth of West Virginia and often have little or no family support.
