Cosner named to Generation WV fellowship class

Kristen Cosner

Kristen Cosner, communications director for academic support and services in the Office of the Provost, has been selected as a member of the Generation West Virginia Fellowship Class of 2025 — a leadership development training program for promising young professionals in West Virginia.

The organization is dedicated to equipping young West Virginians with the key skills and career opportunities they need to thrive in the Mountain State.

Cosner is among 29 emerging leaders from 14 counties across the Mountain State representing industries from health care and education to law and technology who are ready to build their careers and the state’s future.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent West Virginia University, connect with other young professionals and experience even more of the beauty and rich history of the Mountain State — my home for the last 20 years — throughout the GWV Fellowship,” Cosner said. “I look forward to joining a group of individuals who are passionate about fostering positive change and making an impact in their communities and around the state to create a bright future for West Virginia for years to come.”

Over the next several months, the fellows will sharpen their leadership skills, grow their networks and strengthen their impact through a series of immersive sessions led by industry experts.

Meet the 2025 fellows.
