Register for Employee Experience Focus Groups

As part of the University’s commitment to continuously improving the employee experience, the Division of Talent and Culture is facilitating Employee Experience Focus Groups across the WVU System.

These one-hour sessions will provide all faculty and staff with an opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences as WVU employees.

Employees have received an email from their college/unit’s Strategic HR Partner, who provided a link to view available sessions for their college/unit and register to participate.

A Strategic HR Partner will facilitate the focus groups focusing on three key topics:

  • Receiving appropriate recognition for good work.

  • Having adequate opportunities for growth and development.

  • Feeling comfortable sharing opinions and feedback with your supervisor.

The feedback gathered from these focus groups, which will be scheduled by unit and employee type, will be analyzed and shared with college/unit leaders and University leaders.

College/unit leaders will use this information to identify areas of strength within their team and opportunities for growth so we can best serve our employees.

While these focus groups are optional, your participation is critical. Your feedback will remain anonymous when shared with leaders. To further protect the confidentiality of employees who work in smaller colleges or units, some smaller colleges/units will be invited to combined sessions. In these cases, employee responses will be aggregated when shared with senior leaders. 

Your input is essential to gaining a clear understanding of what is working well and where improvements are needed across the WVU System, and we appreciate your participation.
